The time was certainly ripe for me to modulate from a tax man who, not unlike an automaton, synthesized the vast array of data I provided, organized and reported it with ostensibly little concern beyond the mechanics involved in doing so. Having affiliated with a larger group, the corporate practice of accounting and the completely inadequate ensuing communications, was the ruptured Achilles' tendon that caused my migration from this group. The straw that broke the camel's back was a form that advised that my data could possibly be outsourced to India for completion. Upon calling thrice to question this I received not once the courtesy of a return call explaining this process. Denise and her team were the exact opposite of this acerbic, completely automated, disinterested and disorganized process and team. She spent more time reviewing not only my return but my holistic asset and tax presentation during the past two months than my previous tax professional had during the past three years. She is more than a technically competent enrolled agent; she is a caring, kind, efficient and cheerful individual and I am extremely pleased by the excellent outcome and very fairly priced services she afforded me this year and will continue to provide for many years to come. Any routine Google search will reval myriad accounting professionals eager to render services, and perhaps many are like the character from whom I departed. Technically they get the job done devoid any concern that transcends the punching of the adding machine and stapling of documents, it seems. These folks are a dime a dozen. It would be a huge injustice to compare that service paradigm to Denise and her Oak Lawn Tax Service colleagues. I enthusiastically recommend her company to anybody who, like me, wishes to avoid finding out that his/her W2s, 1099 DIVs and other confidential documents are blowing in the fetid air of downtown Mumbai or, worse yet, the banks of the Ganges.
